Jazz now built in Britain
You may have read or seen recently that our supermini the Honda Jazz - category winner of the 2009 JD Power Survey is now built at our plant in Swindon alongside the Civic and CR-V.
We're very proud of the Jazz and the good news this represents for our associates at the plant. This financial year Honda will build 20,000 units of Jazz at the factory, 75 per cent of which will be for the UK market, with the other 25 per cent exported to 55 countries across mainland Europe and other regions. The addition of Jazz brings the planned total production level for the Swindon plant in this financial year to 100,600.The Jazz is one of the jewels in Honda's crown: a family car that has won countless awards for quality and reliability, and thousands of loyal customers. Shifting production to the UK is a real vote of confidence in Honda's 3,400 British workers , and recognition of the high standards of the Plant.
