Norton Way Support £2000 Government Scrappage Scheme.
Time is running out, the government scrappage scheme is coming to an end on 31st March 2010, you still have time to take advantage at Norton Way if you hurry, with saving across the Honda, Mazda and Peugeot and Suzuki range.
The scheme will entitle certain motorists to £2000 scrappage allowance against the purchase of a brand new ‘59 reg car or van and applies to all vehicles 10 or more years old (subject to terms and conditions).

Q. What is the car scrappage scheme?
The Government initiative will enable owners of cars and vans 10 years old or more to get £2,000 towards the cost of a brand new vehicle.
Q. Do I qualify for the discount?
The car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes) must be over 10 years old, be registered with the DVLA, have a current MOT test certificate, and have been registered to the owner for 12 continuous months to qualify for the scrappage scheme.
Q. Why has it been introduced?
It is intended to boost the UK car industry, which has been hard hit by the global recession. Similar car scrappage programmes have already been successfully launched in other European markets including Germany, France and Italy.
Q. What are the benefits?
The ‘peace of mind’ benefits that come with a new car include improved safety, mpg and running costs.
Q. How long will the scheme run for?
The scheme will begin in mid-May 2009 and run until March 2010.

It is also committed to lowering CO2 across its range, topping the European sales of low emission vehicles in 2008*. New figures show one in every six new vehicles sold in Europe and the UK with emissions of less than 121g/km of CO2 was a Peugeot.
