PEUGEOT OPENS ORDERS FOR NEW 508 AND NEW 508 S

PEUGEOT has opened orders for new 508, 508 SW and 508 PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED models, featuring an updated exterior and interior design, new technologies and a simplified trim line-up. Prices for the new 508 range start from £34,020 OTR MRRP, with PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED variants starting from £53,825. The first deliveries are scheduled for September.

PEUGEOT has also updated the front and rear lighting on all new 508 variants. At the front, Matrix LED headlights featuring PEUGEOT’s iconic 3-claw signature are now standard across all variants, while at the back, new Full 3D rear lights with the same 3-claw signature and scrolling direction indicators can be found.

PEUGEOT has provided consumers with two new wheel styles as part of the design update. While GT models come with 18-inch "EPHERRA" wheels, Allure variants can now be obtained with 17-inch "MERION" wheels with a new finish. 19-inch 'AUGUSTA' wheels are an additional option for GT versions. There are also three new metallic paint colours to choose from: Okenite White, Titane Grey, and Eclipse Blue. Selenium Grey, which was previously only offered on PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED models, is now accessible across the full lineup.

PEUGEOT has made a number of adjustments inside as well as outside. New half-leather effect trim with "Falgo" fabric and "Quartz" stitch detail is now available on Allure models. A unique half-leather effect trim with Alcantara® and 'Aikinite' stitching is included with GT variants. The front seat headrests now bear the new PEUGEOT shield, which is an added touch to the "Mistral Black Nappa Leather," which is still an option. The 'Mistral Black Nappa Leather' seats are an option for the Allure and GT models.

NEW PEUGEOT 2008 OPEN FOR ORDERS

PEUGEOT order books for the new 2008 will open Monday 12 June, with first deliveries due later this summer. Available in three trim levels – Active, Allure and GT – and with a choice of electric and petrol powertrains, prices for the new 2008 start from £24,020 OTR.

A more assertive design

The new 2008 benefits from a bigger front end that incorporates the PEUGEOT shield and a revised, more forceful look. On Active versions, the expanded grille is completed in gloss black, whereas the Allure and GT trims have a grille that is body colour.  New 'three-claw' LED daytime running lights and new LED rear lights are included on all versions of the new 2008's front end, which also adopts the most recent PEUGEOT light signature initially seen on the new 508 and 508 SW. On GT variants, full LED headlights are an option.

Electric and petrol powertrains

The new 2008 will be available from launch with a new, fully electric powertrain. Available across all trim levels, the e-2008’s new 54kWh battery brings an increased range of up to 251 miles (WLTP), while a new electric motor increases power to 156hp – an increase of 15%.

Customers can also opt for a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine. The PureTech 100, available exclusively in Active trim, is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the PureTech 130 (available in Allure and GT trims) can be combined with either an EAT8 eight-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual gearbox.

Specification

PEUGEOT has simplified the trim line-up on the new 2008, bringing it into line with the rest of the PEUGEOT range. Customers can choose from Active, Allure and GT, while a First Edition model is available exclusively on the fully electric e-2008.

All new 2008 models now include a 10-inch central touchscreen as part of PEUGEOT's cutting-edge i-Cockpit® as standard equipment inside, as well as a row of toggle switches for easy access to crucial features. Additionally, a redesigned, compact steering wheel with the PEUGEOT shield is part of the improved iCockpit®.

Along with a number of safety and convenience features like automated emergency braking, cruise control with speed limiter, and rear parking sensors, active models come with new "Calcite" interior stitching and "Mistral" roof lining. The Active trim is completed by a new 10-inch Touchscreen and Wireless MirrorScreen for Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM.

The First Edition will be available exclusively in two new body colours for the new 2008 - Selenium Grey and Okenite White.

The new 2008 is available to order now, with prices starting from £24,020 OTR.
