Škoda To Make ENYAQ iV Electric SUV Available to Blue-Light Fleets

Škoda’s first all-electric model will be available to blue-light customers from July this year. Offering a range of up to 333 miles, the ENYAQ iV will receive the brand’s bespoke emergency service conversion treatment, enabling blue-light fleets to achieve sustainability targets without compromising on performance or ability.

The ENYAQ iV range consists of two variants; ENYAQ iV 60 Nav and ENYAQ iV 80. The 58kW net battery in the 60 Nav has a WLTP combined range of 256 miles, while the 80’s 78kW net battery can clock up an amazing 333 miles on a single charge. Power is up to 204hp with 310Nm of torque, giving the ENYAQ iV a 0-62mph time of 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 99mph. A rapid charging station can charge the 60 Nav to 80% in just 55 minutes, and the 80 in 1 hour 10 minutes.

As well as the ENYAQ iV’s eco credentials, the brand expects the model to appeal to blue-light fleets for its simpler maintenance and servicing. As a result of the vast reduction in moving and perishable parts – for example, the single-speed transmission – fleets will benefit from less frequent maintenance and servicing, increasing available operational time and improving efficiency.

The ENYAQ iV also brings ground clearance of 186mm and 15.4- and 16.7-degree approach and departure angles while luggage capacity of 585 litres – or up to 1,710 litres with the rear seats down – provides sufficient room for blue-light fleets to store and transport vital life-saving emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks, ventilators and other essential equipment.

The conversion treatment includes 360-degree lighting and a full integration of the emergency services’ communication platform within Škoda’s existing infotainment touchscreen. This ensures all functionality, such as the lighting, can be controlled through one central accessible platform. Individual requirements can also be catered for via the brand’s approved specialist convertors.

The ENYAQ iV is available through Škoda’s ‘One-stop Shop’ service, offering the peace of mind of a ready-converted all-inclusive purchase package, and is offered alongside the Octavia iV and Superb iV plug-in hybrids.
