Nissan have treated the Qashqai to their ProPilot driver-assistance technology, technology previous only available on the LEAF and Qashqai ProPilot Edition. The tech will now be available on all automatic variants (both CVT and DCT) within the line-up.
The semi-autonomous system works to help maintain the car’s lane position, providing car safety distance and steering input. On the N-connecta grade, the ProPilot option is currently a £595 option – just the same it is on the LEAF. On the Tekna and Tekna+ the system now comes standard. On the Tekna+, Propilot comes with the Sport Option Pack which adds front and rear body coloured bumpers, a side finisher and 19” wind-design alloy wheels.
Kalyana Sivagnanam, managing director, Nissan Motor (GB), said: “The Nissan Qashqai has always been a leader in terms of innovative design and technologies that enhance the ownership experience. Our advanced ProPILOT drive assistance adds a greater level of confidence, control and enjoyment to the UK’s best-selling crossover.”
