MG Displays Electrifying Performance at Goodwood

MG starts centenerary celebrations

MG unveiled three new electric vehicles in their global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. MG showcased the Cyberster electric roadster concept, the high-performance MG4 EV XPOWER hatchback, and the EX4 electric crossover in the First Glance Paddock to kick off MG's 100th anniversary celebrations in style. The exciting new EVs from MG demonstrated high-performance electric driving as they took on the famous Hill Climb at the iconic Goodwood event.

MG made an electrifying return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed by unveiling three new electric vehicles in global debuts. The automaker brought excitement with the first run of the highly-anticipated Cyberster electric roadster concept. Also making their debut were the brand new MG4 EV XPOWER high-performance hatchback flaunting blistering acceleration and the eye-catching EX4 electric crossover concept, tailored for Goodwood by MG's London design team. The Cyberster and MG4 EV XPOWER were showstoppers on the famous Hill Climb, demonstrating MG's thrilling new era of electric power. With three global unveilings packing high-voltage excitement, MG sparked their centenary celebrations in sensational style at Goodwood.

Boasting impressive performance, the MG4 XPOWER showcased its capabilities at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This high-powered MG production car generates 435 horsepower and up to 600Nm of torque thanks to its innovative dual motor design powering all four wheels.

The XPOWER lived up to expectations, rocketing from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds - matching the acceleration of MG's Cyberster concept. The Duke of Richmond got an exclusive early look at the exciting convertible courtesy of prominent British designer Carl Gotham. His London studio helped create this sports car for the electric age with timeless MG roadster flair.

MG unveiled the EX4 concept, a bold reimagining of the iconic 1980s Metro 6R4 rally car. But unlike the original, this EX4 packs the powerful electric drivetrain from the MG4 XPower. Designed by MG's London team, the EX4 sported special livery for Goodwood celebrating 40 years since the legendary 6R4.

The EX4 exemplifies MG's new generation of thrilling electric vehicles. As MG's UK Commercial Director Guy Pigounakis said “Goodwood’s unique atmosphere is the perfect place to showcase our new generation of electric MGs which will engage and exhilarate drivers, as well as being a great way to kick-off our centenary celebrations.”.
