Peugeot has recently unveiled its new and improved trim line-up for the 2024 model year, bringing a fresh and refined look to the popular 308 range. With a simplified selection of trims and enhanced features, the 308 and 308 SW models offer a compelling choice for customers seeking a stylish and efficient vehicle.
A Sleek and Assertive Design
The latest iteration of the Peugeot 308 range features the brand's signature assertive styling, with a modern and sleek design that exudes confidence on the road. At the front, the iconic Peugeot emblem takes center stage, surrounded by a large vertical grille. The LED headlamps, available with Matrix LED Technology on the GT trim, provide improved visibility at night, complemented by the fang-shaped daytime running lights.
Moving to the rear, the distinctive three-claw light signature is a hallmark of Peugeot's design language. The all-electric version of the 308 SW is denoted by the 'E' badge, showcasing its eco-friendly credentials. Additionally, a new 18-inch 'Ottawa' alloy wheel with a diamond-cut finish has been specially developed for the E-308 and E-308 SW models, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency.
Electric Powertrain and Impressive Range
One of the highlights of the new 308 range is the introduction of the PEUGEOT E-308 SW, the brand's first fully electric estate. Powered by a 115kW (156hp) motor and a 54kWh battery, the E-308 SW delivers an impressive range of up to 254 miles (WLTP). With best-in-class efficiency, it offers up to 4.93 miles per kWh, making it an attractive option for environmentally conscious drivers.
The E-308 SW comes equipped with a heat pump as standard, enhancing both efficiency and on-board comfort. It also features a three-phase 11kW charger, ensuring convenient and fast charging. With a 100kW DC rapid charger, a 20-80% charge can be achieved in less than 25 minutes.
Enhanced Interior Comfort and Technology
Inside the E-308 SW, Peugeot's i-Cockpit® technology creates a contemporary and intuitive driving experience. With a compact steering wheel, a fully customizable digital instrument cluster (including a 3D Quartz display on GT variants), and a 10-inch central touchscreen with the i-Connect Advanced infotainment system, the i-Cockpit® sets the benchmark for interior ergonomics, design, and technology.
Practicality and comfort have been prioritized in the E-308 SW, with up to 32 liters of storage throughout the interior. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel come as standard, ensuring a cozy journey in colder temperatures. Rear passengers benefit from two USB-C sockets, a central armrest with cupholders, and additional door storage. With the rear seats up, the E-308 SW offers an impressive 548 liters of boot capacity, extending to 1,574 liters with the rear seats folded down.
Simplified Trim Options
For the 2024 model year, Peugeot has streamlined the trim options for the 308 and 308 SW, aligning them with other models in the brand's range. The revised line-up now consists of three trims: Active, Allure, and GT. This simplification aims to provide customers with a more straightforward and intuitive selection process.
The Allure trim offers a range of features, including dark tinted rear side and tailgate windows, a chrome grille with horizontal accents, and a striking 17-inch 'Halong' alloy wheel (18-inch 'Ottawa' design on the Electric version). ECO LED headlights, signature 'fang' styled LED daytime running lights, and 'claw' LED rear lights further enhance the exterior design. Inside, Allure models boast tri-material dynamic front seats, a reversing camera, customisable i-Toggles, Connected 3D Navigation, and natural voice recognition.
The GT trim builds on the generous Allure specification, adding a touch of luxury and refinement. Ultra-slim Full Matrix LED Technology headlights and 3D LED tail lights provide enhanced visibility and a distinctive look. The GT-specific grille design, widened side sills, and the PEUGEOT emblem on the front wings further differentiate the trim.
