AT THE COMPANY CAR TODAY CCT100 AWARDS, PEUGEOT WAS NAMED DOUBLE WINNER.

PEUGEOT has gained two more trophies to its trophy cabinet, this time from the 2022 Company Car Today CCT100 Awards. The PEUGEOT 208 was named 'Supermini of the Year,' while the 5008 continued its extraordinary run in these honours by being named 'SUV of the Year' once more.

The winners of the Company Car Today awards are chosen from the CCT100 list, which includes the top 100 fleet vehicles. The CCT100 list is compiled after an expert judging panel evaluates vehicles based on 13 important factors such as operating costs, efficiency, practicability, and car park appeal.

The PEUGEOT 5008 wowed the judges with its large interior, which included seven independent seats as standard, and practical cabin, which included the award-winning PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. The latter has the most advanced connection and safety technology, such as Night Vision, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Active Blind Spot Detection (standard from Allure trim level upwards). Its efficient PureTech petrol and Blue HDi diesel engines, as well as the option of an 8-speed automatic, help fleet managers save money on gasoline.

The PEUGEOT 208 is available with a diesel or petrol engine, or as the 100 percent electric e-208, which has a 50kWh battery attached to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor and can go up to 225 miles on a single charge (WLTP). The e-208 also supports up to 100kW quick charging, with an 0-80% charge requiring only 30 minutes, and it has been lauded for its eye-catching design, which helps it stand out on the road.

"An ever-increasing quality of cabin and design, as well as a diversity of powertrain, is evident in a pair of CCT100 award wins for Peugeot, with the 208 demonstrating that affordable running costs can combine with a premium-level interior and good looks in the supermini segment," said Paul Barker, Editor of Company Car Today. "The 5008 continues to dominate our SUV of the Year class, winning for the fifth year in a row due to its practicality, great cabin, low operating costs, and technology."

Both types are extremely practical for drivers. While the PEUGEOT 5008 is one of our largest passenger car models, the 208 gives drivers the choice to electrify while preserving the style and practicality that has made our model range so successful."
