The PEUGEOT 2008 originally produced in 2013 has now grown to steadily sit among the top three best-selling B-segment SUVs in Europe even being top of the list in 2021. The smartly styled new PEUGEOT 2008 has been revealed, firstly announced towards the end of 2019 with nearly 700,000 units already produced will be open for orders in the summer.
The new PEUGEOT 2008 will include updated features such as an assertive design, an enhanced i-Cockpit, and an electric powertrain for the new e-2008 that ensures a range of up to 252 miles depending on the model. There will also be options of three trim levels which will be Active, Allure, and GT.
For safer, more comfortable driving the PEUGEOT 2008 comes with a lineup of innovative driver assistance technology. The new PEUGEOT 2008 includes Automatic Emergency breaking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, adaptive cruise control and many others subject to models. With all-season tyres, this also allows three additional driving modes which are Sand, Mud and snow so you will feel safer in all conditions.
On Allure and GT trims the new PEUGEOT 2008 comes with the PEUGEOTs i-connect infotainment system, which offers many attractive features for drivers. With i-connect, you gain in-depth connectivity through wireless phone mirroring that supports Apple car play and Android Auto. This system can be managed through the 10-inch high-resolution touch screen or voice control activated by saying ‘Ok PEUGEOT’
The i-Cockpit is a new and updated version for the new PEUGOET 2008. Choosing the all-electric new PEUGEOT e-2008 you will have the advantage of the larger 54kWh battery and new electric motor. You would also benefit from the 18% increase in maximum power to 156hp. In addition to this, the range has increased from 212 miles to 252 miles with this model compared to other new PEUGEOT 2008 models. Continuing to provide you choice on what suits you, you have two charger options available with the new PEUGEOT e-2008. As a standard, you will receive a single-phase 7.4Kw charger but also, have the option for a three-phase 11kW charger.
The new PEUGEOT 2008 will also be on the market with a new 48V Hybrid powertrain, which will include a new-generation 136bhp 1.2litre Pure Tech petrol engine, supported by a six-speed dual-clutch electrified gearbox with an electric motor. The Hybrid technology in the new PEUGEOT 2008 allows the battery to recharge meaning it offers extra torque at low engine speeds and up to 15% less fuel consumption. If you are driving in urban environments, you may enjoy the fact that the Hybrid system can operate in electric mode for more than 50% of the time.
If you are not looking to move onto electric-powered vehicles just yet PEUGEOT will still be offering a choice of a modern 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine new PEUGEOT 2008. The Pure Tech 100 is coupled with a six-speed annual gearbox including a brand-new gearshift knob improving comfort and functionality whilst you can have the PureTech 130 with the manual or the EAT8 eight-speed automatic gearbox.
PEUGEOT wanted to create an upmarket and more powerful SUV look and therefore the new PEUGEOT 2008 has an updated design which is shown in some of its stylish features. Every feature has been expertly crafted for increased functionality and style.
The model features a broader front end which includes the brand-new PEUGEOT 2008 shield and particular lateral pattern connecting both headlamps and 3 claw LED lights. With active models, the front end features a horizontal pattern in a sleek gloss black colour, whereas on the Allure and GT models the front end features a vertical pattern keeping with the same colour as its body work.
The new PEUGEOT 2008 has a distinctive and modern rear design featuring a gloss black connecting strip and full LED claw effect rear lights. Whatever powertrain you decide you will have a functional spacious boot of the same capacity.
The new PEUGEOT 2008 features the new updated type face badges that are finished in a basalt grey colour. On the new PEUGEOT e-2008, as well as the new typeface badge there is a Dichroic blue and white E badge alongside it.
There will be a choice of six body colours fir you to choose from; Selenium Grey, Cumulus Grey, Okenite White, Nera Black, Elixir Red and Vertigo Blue. Unlike other models new PEUGEOT 2008 models GT models will feature a black bi-tone roof. The new PEUGEOT 2008 will also be offered with alloy wheels from 16-28inches.
