Peugeot has surpassed 100,000 UK vehicle registrations in 2025, delivering a strong 10% year-on-year increase in combined car and van sales. With a total of 105,752 vehicles registered, the brand has further strengthened its position among the UK’s top 10 automotive manufacturers, while increasing overall market share to 4.5%.
Strong Performance Across Passenger Cars and Vans
Sustained momentum across both passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) underpinned the brand’s success. Passenger car sales proved particularly robust, rising by 20% year-on-year to exceed 83,000 units – an uplift of 14,098 vehicles compared to 2024.
Peugeot’s commitment to electrification has also contributed to this growth. Offering one of the most comprehensive electric vehicle line-ups of any mainstream European manufacturer, the brand recorded a 12% year-on-year increase in electric car sales.
Supporting customers making the transition to electric mobility, Peugeot continues to provide its comprehensive Peugeot Care* coverage across its electric car range. The eight-year/100,000-mile protection package covers the electric motor, onboard charger, transmission, and key electrical and mechanical components, delivering long-term reassurance for EV owners.
Nicola Dobson, Managing Director, Peugeot UK, commented:
“It has been a stellar year for Peugeot in the UK. We are proud to report growth in both volume and market share across combined car and van sales. Our diverse and exciting model range continues to resonate strongly with customers, particularly those making the switch to electric. We look forward to building on this momentum in 2026 with an exciting line-up of new models, including the New 408 and E-208 GTi.”
Registrations & Market Context
Peugeot maintains solid performance across both the passenger car and light commercial vehicle sectors, ensuring a well-balanced presence in the UK market. The brand continues to perform strongly in key volume segments, particularly within the supermini and compact SUV categories, where models such as the 208 and 2008 remain highly competitive.
This broad representation across core segments has enabled Peugeot to sustain consistent growth despite evolving market conditions and increasing electrification targets, reinforcing its status as a dependable and progressive mainstream manufacturer.
Fleet Insight
Peugeot’s extensive line-up across passenger cars and LCVs offers valuable flexibility for mixed-fleet operators. Businesses can integrate both cars and vans from a single manufacturer while maintaining consistent design, technology and aftersales support standards.
Electrified variants of the 208 and 2008 further enhance Peugeot’s appeal to fleet customers seeking to reduce emissions and meet sustainability objectives. With growing demand for low- and zero-emission vehicles across corporate fleets, Peugeot’s expanding electric portfolio positions the brand as a strategic partner for forward-thinking operators.
