MAZDA CX-60: WHAT THE PRESS SAY

The all-new Mazda CX-60, being Mazda’s flagship SUV and first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), is finally here and ready to show you how Mazda’s master craftspeople, designers and engineers have distilled 100 years of Mazda DNA to create a fantastic experience for driver and passengers alike.

The reviews are in from the national motoring press - here’s what they have to say about it.

MSN wrote that “the boldly styled new Mazda CX-60 is a class act.” The Sunday Times Driving agrees, stating that “the CX-60 is worthy of flagship status and showcases how Mazda is on top of its game regarding design and interior quality.”

Many reviewers recognised Mazda’s success with the CX-60’s beautifully designed interior that is calm, spacious, and focused around the driver. “One of the most appealing aspects of the Mazda CX-60 is its size, in particular its cabin, which is roomier than the CX-5’s,” writes AutoTrader. “The first impression is that the quality of the materials used throughout is very good, crystallising the company's premium aspirations.”

MSN also took note how special the interior feels: “Not only is the CX-60 PHEV well equipped, it’s superbly put together and the quality of the materials used inside the cabin is excellent."

The CX-60 is no exception to Mazda's renowned Jinba Ittai immersive driving experience, which is present in all of its vehicles. The most potent road vehicle Mazda has ever manufactured, its plug-in hybrid powertrain produces 327ps of combined electric and engine power, and driver-focused technology provide exceptional driving performance.

“Where the CX-60 comes alive, and stands out from rivals, is on the open and winding road. It’s precise and easy to place, turning in with alacrity and little fuss as you let your speed build up for each successive curve,” enthuses Car Magazine (read review). Auto Trader agrees: “Mazda has a good reputation for handling and the steering in the CX-60 is more communicative than that of most SUVs of this size.”

So what was the general response for the Mazda CX-60, what Car? says: “The CX-60 is a well priced, large SUV that’s fun to drive and offers low running costs with a plush interior.” CarGurus concludes: “If you’re after a family SUV with a hint of something a little bit different about it, then we’d say the CX-60 is well worth a look.”
