Junior Accounts Administrator Apprenticeship

Qualifications achievement: AAT Level 2 - Foundation Certificate in Accounting

Advancing to: AAT Level 3 & Level 4 - Advanced Diploma in Accounting

As a Junior Accounts Administrator, you will be exposed to a variety of duties within the Accounts Department including banking, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and general administrative duties. You will gain knowledge and take responsibility for specific assigned tasks with support, guidance, and encouragement from the Accounts team members.

The role will also offer the opportunity to work towards the AAT qualification beginning with Level 2 and possible progression to level 3 and 4.

Completing the training period successfully will open the way to taking on greater responsibility and progression within the department.

Duration: 18-24 months

HR Apprentice

Qualification: CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources Practice.

As a HR Apprentice, your role will have a wide remit; you will gain experience of all aspects of the Human Resource function throughout your apprenticeship with Norton Way Group. This includes being responsible for ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of the HR database, providing administrative support for both employee relations and benefits, and having the option to be involved in company projects.

Throughout your HR Apprenticeship, you will be mentored by one of the experienced and knowledgeable members of our People Team and will be provided with extensive support from both the business and the college coordinating your apprenticeship.

Completing your HR Apprenticeship with Norton Way Group opens the door to a range of opportunities, including promotion within the team, and the option to continue with your professional development by undertaking the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resources Practice.

Duration:15-18 months

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in learning the processes within HR.
  • Being methodical and highly organised, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An excellent foundation of communication skills, both written and verbal, to be built upon.
  • Being driven, willing to take on additional responsibility, and able to work without close supervision.
  • A personable and confident manner.
  • Being both curious and creative, and willing to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is essential.
  • Educated to at least a GCSE standard, with passes at C grade (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is preferred.
