The Mazda 6 Tourer and Saloon will be previewed at next month’s Geneva Motor Show. This will be the first time the Tourer model has been seen, with the Saloon variant having a European debut after its appearance in November’s LA Motor Show.
Both vehicles have received subtle exterior updates and extensive interior changes. The exterior changes consist of a new mesh grille and chrome detailing around new LED headlights. On the inside the dashboard design has been simplified, alongside new switchgear, seats and technology. The infotainment system has been updated to a eight-inch touchscreen and an optional seven-inch TFT display in the instrument panel.
The powertrains will be updated, but Mazda is still to release information on the new options, although they have promised enhanced performance and efficiency. The chassis has received some tweaks as well, the suspension setup has been altered to increase comfort and agility. Other additions include new i-ACTIVSENSE safety and assistance technology, with a 360-degree camera.
The Mazda stand at Geneva will consist of the new Mazda6 range, and two concept vehicles – Vision Coupe and Kai.
