Mazda develops new colour: Zinc Green Metallic

Mazda has unveiled Zinc Green Metallic, a striking new exterior paint finish that blends rugged character with premium sophistication. Inspired by the industrial durability of zinc chromate primer, the new colour will be introduced across selected Mazda models, with UK availability to be confirmed later this year.

Drawing on a heritage of more than 80 green paint finishes throughout Mazda's history, Zinc Green Metallic offers a contemporary interpretation of the colour, designed to complement both urban environments and natural landscapes. The finish reflects Mazda's design philosophy by combining functional inspiration with elegant craftsmanship.

The new metallic paint has been carefully engineered to create different visual effects depending on lighting conditions. In lower light, it delivers a rich, solid appearance that emphasises strength and presence, while brighter conditions reveal a refined metallic sparkle that enhances the sculpted lines of Mazda's Kodo design language.
