OMODA&JAECOO UK has recorded a landmark performance during the ‘76’ number plate change, registering 17,951 vehicles in March 2026 and marking its strongest month to date.
The result represents a significant milestone for the fast-growing brand house, which has been operating in the UK for less than two years, and highlights the accelerating pace of its market expansion.
Strong performance across both brands
OMODA, which launched in the UK in August 2024, achieved 5,917 registrations in March, equating to a 1.55% market share. Meanwhile, JAECOO—introduced in January 2025—delivered an even larger contribution, with 12,034 registrations and a 3.16% market share.
A standout achievement came from the JAECOO 7, which was confirmed as the UK’s best-selling new car for the month. The model accounted for the majority of JAECOO’s volume and continues to build momentum, with cumulative sales approaching 42,000 units since its launch.
Rapid growth and expanding UK footprint
The combined performance takes total OMODA&JAECOO UK sales to more than 80,000 vehicles in just 19 months—an impressive achievement in one of Europe’s most competitive automotive markets.
This growth has been supported by the rapid expansion of a nationwide retail network, now comprising 124 sites, alongside a growing product portfolio spanning six models. The line-up covers a mix of internal combustion, hybrid (SHS), and fully electric powertrains, reflecting a flexible approach to electrification.
Broad and evolving product range
OMODA’s UK range includes the OMODA 5, available with hybrid, petrol, and electric options, alongside the newer OMODA 7 and range-topping OMODA 9.
JAECOO’s offering is equally comprehensive, featuring the JAECOO 5, the highly successful JAECOO 7—available with multiple powertrain and drivetrain configurations—and the newly introduced JAECOO 8, offered with all-wheel drive and both six- and seven-seat layouts.
Momentum set to continue
Commenting on the results, CEO Gary Lan described the record-breaking month as a defining moment for the business, reflecting both strong customer demand and the effectiveness of its UK retail network.
With continued investment in its network, product range, and electrified technologies, OMODA&JAECOO UK appears well positioned to build on this momentum and further establish its presence across both retail and fleet markets.
