Škoda Reveals UK Pricing and Specifications for New All-Electric Epiq

Škoda has confirmed UK pricing, specifications and ordering details for the new all-electric Epiq, its latest compact SUV designed to make electric mobility more accessible to a wider audience.

Priced from £24,950 OTR, the Epiq achieves price parity with its petrol-powered Kamiq sibling, making it the most affordable fully electric model in the Škoda range. The newcomer plays a significant role in the brand’s expanding EV strategy and, alongside the forthcoming all-electric Peaq, will help double Škoda’s electric model portfolio.

Order books for the Epiq will open in July, initially with SE L and Edition trim levels powered by the larger 55 battery pack.

New MEB+ Platform Debuts

The Epiq is the first Škoda model to use the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform and also becomes the brand’s first front-wheel-drive electric vehicle.

Developed specifically for a new generation of compact EVs, the platform has been engineered to reduce weight while maximising efficiency and interior space.

UK buyers will be offered a simplified two-trim line-up comprising SE L and Edition models, while a limited-run First Edition variant will also be available from launch with exclusive styling details and additional equipment.

Distinctive Exterior Design

The Epiq introduces a bold new design direction for Škoda’s future SUV range.

At the front, the compact crossover features the brand’s glossy black Tech-Deck Face alongside a new T-shaped lighting signature that will become a defining characteristic of future Škoda SUVs. Robust bumpers with distinctive O-shaped air inlets further reinforce the Epiq’s rugged appearance.

Despite its compact footprint, the Epiq has been designed to maximise practicality and aerodynamic efficiency, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.275 to improve overall energy consumption and driving range.

Customers will be able to choose from six exterior paint finishes, including new colours such as Marble Grey and Jasper Red. Alloy wheel sizes range from 18 inches as standard up to exclusive 20-inch designs fitted to the First Edition model.

Spacious Cabin with Sustainable Materials

Inside, the Epiq combines practicality with a clean, modern design inspired by Škoda’s Modern Solid philosophy.

The cabin offers a spacious layout with a 475-litre boot and a 25-litre front storage compartment, or “frunk,” providing additional everyday usability. Numerous Simply Clever storage solutions are integrated throughout the interior.

Three new Design Selections allow customers to personalise the cabin with sustainable materials and unique colour combinations.

The standard Loft Grey interior combines grey fabric and artificial leather with eco-conscious materials, including Techtona — a new animal-free synthetic leather alternative designed to reduce water and chemical use during production.

Optional Loft Mint and Suite interiors add contrasting stitching and upgraded upholstery materials for a more premium feel.

Technology is centred around a new infotainment system featuring a 13-inch touchscreen and five-inch digital driver display. Wireless Smartlink smartphone integration comes as standard, while the MyŠkoda app enables remote charging management and vehicle monitoring functions.

Battery Options and Driving Range

The Epiq will be offered with two battery configurations and two power outputs, both driving the front wheels.

The entry-level Epiq 40 uses a 37kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery delivering an estimated WLTP range of around 190 miles and producing 135PS.

Stepping up to the Epiq 55 brings a larger 52kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery pack, increasing range to up to 272 miles WLTP while boosting power output to 211PS.

The Epiq 55 supports DC rapid charging at speeds of up to 105kW, with both battery versions capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes.

The model also supports bidirectional charging, allowing stored energy to power external devices or potentially supply electricity back to homes or the grid where infrastructure permits.

Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance

Škoda has equipped the Epiq with a comprehensive suite of safety and assistance technologies typically associated with larger, more premium vehicles.

Standard systems include Front Assist, Side Assist, Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition, while occupant protection is enhanced through the inclusion of seven airbags, including a centre airbag.

Adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors and keyless start are also fitted across the entire range.

High Equipment Levels Across the Range

Even entry-level models come generously equipped, featuring advanced LED headlights and rear lights, one-zone climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity and a large infotainment display as standard.

The Epiq First Edition adds a series of exclusive design touches, including Navajo Orange exterior accents, a contrasting black roof, bespoke 20-inch alloy wheels and unique First Edition badging.

Inside, the First Edition gains orange stitching, sports seats, a black headlining, illuminated door sills and sports pedal covers, creating a more distinctive and dynamic cabin atmosphere.

The limited-edition model also includes the Convenience and Tech packages as standard and is offered exclusively with the larger 52kWh battery and 211PS powertrain.
