Skoda has announced record UK fleet sales for the first six months of the year, delivering more than 10,500 vehicles to business customers.
Skoda’s overall market share has increased to 3.4%, despite the industry’s year-to-date decline in new car fleet registrations.
Key performing vehicles in the Skoda range included the Octavia Estate which retained its number one position in its segment with a 13% raise in deliveries during the period. 1,299 Skoda Superb’s have been delivered since January, becoming the third most-popular model in its segment. More than 1,300 all-new Karoqs were delivered with the flagship, Kodiaq, increasing in registration by 63%.
Henry Williams, Skoda’s head of fleet, said: “The SMMT figures show it’s been a tough first half year for fleet new car registrations. These results therefore reaffirm the strength our offering for business customers, and we are delighted to have recorded our best true fleet market share.”
