In 2021, Honda unveiled the all-new SH Mode 125, designed to capture the aspirations of a younger generation of Honda riders. Model Overview

The 2024 Honda SH Mode 125 builds upon the success of its predecessor, combining trendy style, confident performance, and low running costs. The chic refresh introduced in 2021 included an attractive LED headlight that enhanced the scooter's distinctive face. Underneath the sleek exterior, the SH Mode 125 featured a lighter steel 'enhanced Smart Architecture Frame' (eSAF) and a more powerful and fuel-efficient enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) four-valve, water-cooled SOHC engine. The new model also boasted aluminum wheels fitted with fuel-saving tires.

Practicality was not overlooked in the 2021 refresh. The SH Mode 125 offered increased storage space under the seat and a convenient glovebox with a USB Type-A socket for charging devices. Smart Key operation, allowing riders to start the scooter and unlock the seat without removing the key from their pocket, added a premium touch.

The heart of the 2024 Honda SH Mode 125 is the enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) four-valve, water-cooled SOHC engine. Delivering 8.4kW of power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 12.1Nm at 5,000rpm, this engine offers a perfect balance of performance and fuel efficiency. The flat linear torque curve ensures smooth acceleration in urban environments, catering to riders with diverse experience levels.

The engine's design features a compact combustion chamber and PGM-FI fuel injection, ensuring optimal burning velocity and cooling performance. An offset cylinder and 'spiny' cast-iron sleeve reduce friction, resulting in improved efficiency. The high-efficiency radiator, integrated into the crankcase, reduces drag and frictional losses. The transmission unit is equipped with low-friction bearings and a specialized drive pulley design, further reducing resistance and improving overall transmission efficiency.
