OMODA&JAECOO UK has confirmed a landmark performance in 2025, recording 48,087 new vehicle registrations and securing a 2.38% share of the UK car market, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)*. The results underline the rapid rise of the brand house, which has firmly established itself as a major new force in the UK automotive landscape.
JAECOO, which launched in the UK in January 2025, accounted for 28,232 registrations, driven overwhelmingly by the success of the JAECOO 7. With 26,048 units sold, the model became the fourth most popular retail car in the UK, outperforming many long-established competitors. Reflecting strong private buyer demand, 55% of all JAECOO sales came from retail customers.
Demand was led by the innovative JAECOO 7 SHS, the brand’s self-charging plug-in hybrid, which represented 70% of all JAECOO 7 sales in 2025. Offering fast-charging capability and up to 56 miles of EV-only driving, the SHS powertrain highlights the brand’s strength in delivering accessible new-energy technology.
OMODA, which launched earlier in August 2024, recorded 19,855 registrations during the same period. The OMODA 5 and OMODA E5 proved particularly popular with UK drivers seeking bold design, advanced technology and sustainable mobility, with 38% of OMODA sales coming from private buyers.
Together, the two brands’ performance reflects the strength
of OMODA&JAECOO’s diverse product portfolio, spanning ICE, self-charging
hybrid (SHS) and fully electric powertrains. The current line-up includes OMODA
5, E5 and flagship OMODA 9 SHS, alongside JAECOO 5, E5, JAECOO 7 ICE and JAECOO
7 SHS. Agile product development and timely MY25 updates to key models have
further supported growth, demonstrating a responsiveness that sets the brand
house apart in a competitive market.
Gary Lan, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO UK, commented:
“Our 2025 results reflect the clarity of our vision and the strength of our strategy. The success of the JAECOO 7 and OMODA 5 shows that UK customers are responding to our design-led, technology-focused approach. In 2026, with the launch of the OMODA 7 and JAECOO 8, we will continue to build momentum by delivering desirable, innovative vehicles supported by strong aftersales and service foundations.”
This momentum extends beyond sales performance into culture and design. In February 2026, OMODA will become the Principal Partner of London Fashion Week, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to expressive design, creativity and innovation.
Running from 19–23 February 2026, London Fashion Week will see OMODA supporting the event with VIP shuttle services using the flagship OMODA 9 SHS and the all-new OMODA 7 SHS, which will make its dynamic public debut during the week. The partnership will also include a series of cultural activations, including collaboration with fashion house ROKSANDA for a 20th anniversary celebration dinner, an immersive digital hub at the BFC NEWGEN Show Space, and a co-created digital content series supporting emerging designers.
Laura Weir, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, said:
“OMODA’s commitment to design and innovation makes them a powerful partner for London Fashion Week. Together, we’re championing individuality and creativity while supporting a February schedule that reflects the energy, diversity and ambition of London fashion.”
Victor Zhang, OMODA UK Country Director, added:
“London Fashion Week is a celebration of creativity and self-expression – values that sit at the heart of OMODA. As Principal Partner, we’re proud to showcase vehicles like the OMODA 7 SHS and OMODA 9 SHS in a setting where design, culture and innovation come together. This partnership reinforces OMODA’s place within contemporary culture, where bold ideas and modern mobility move forward together.”
Looking ahead to 2026, OMODA&JAECOO UK will continue to expand its product line-up and retail footprint, supported by a growing network of 101 UK dealerships. All vehicles are offered with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, alongside an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty where applicable, reinforcing the brand house’s commitment to long-term confidence and value for UK customers.
Together, OMODA&JAECOO’s strong commercial performance and OMODA’s high-profile cultural partnership signal a brand house entering its next phase — one defined by growth, design leadership and lasting relevance in the UK market.
