    Sharp New Style The nose facing wraps aggressively around the headlight, designed to slash through the air and produce downforce for stabilisation.
    LED Designs A new LED headlight design is featured in the new Honda CB500 Hornet preserves beam penetration while emitting a broader light distribution, resulting in enhanced visibility when riding - and cornering - at night. It coordinates with a new slim taillight, and all lighting is LED.

      Powerful Acceleration The PGM-FI fuel injection is fed by a rather straight shot of airflow through the airbox and throttle bodies. Optimisation of ignition timing and air/fuel ratio results in more powerful acceleration sensation from low rpm, with continuous power delivery and throttle feel. The exhaust silencer featured in the new Honda CB500 Hornet has multiple exit pipes, giving each pulse a sports edge and a rasping high-rpm howl.
      Engine The accommodating 471cc, 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder architecture provides a well-balanced blend of physical size with an enjoyable peak power of 35kW is delivered at 8,600rpm, with torque of 43Nm delivered at 6,500rpm.

        Sporty Feel Aluminium footpegs with a purposeful appearance are lightweight and give a sporting sense. The total dimensions are 2080mm x 800mm x 1060mm, with a ground clearance of 145mm. The fuel tank carries 17.1L including reserve, resulting in a range of nearly 485km when paired with the engine's exceptional 3.5L/100km (28.6km/litre) fuel consumption.
        Rider Quality The CB500 Hornet, like its older sibling the CB750 Hornet, has Showa 41mm Separated Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks that split the functions - Big Piston pressure separation damper in one leg, spring mechanism in the other - and the reactivity and ride quality are excellent.
        Twin Cylinder Engine 417cc of riotous enjoyment for both beginner and experienced riders, with an assist slipper clutch as standard to improve longevity and performance as a whole.

          Premium Tech A fresh innovative 5-inch full-color TFT panel carried from the CB1000R includes optical bonding to improve readability in harsh sunshine, a first for a Honda motorbike. Glare is decreased and backlight transmittance is increased by covering the space between the protective glass and TFT screen with resin. It has a choice of three display patterns: bar, circle, and simple, and it supports IOS/Android smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync.
          Connectivity A streamlined, easy-to-use, illuminated 4-way toggle switch on the left handlebar enables intuitive, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation along with the opportunity for the rider to make calls or enjoy music (via a Bluetooth helmet headset).
