Kia Accomplishes Two Awards at The 2021 Company Car Today CCT100 Awards

Kia achieves two more awards at the 2021 Company Car Today CT100 Awards. The already award-winning flagship SUV, the All-New Sorento, as well as the smallest car in the Kia range, the Picanto, both topped their categories. Furthermore, both the Sportage and the e-Niro appear in the CCT100 chart.

The CCT100 is Company Car Today’s definitive list of the 100 cars that can fulfill any business car requirement. A shortlist containing the top five cars in each category are assessed across 13 key factors that make an excellent company car, including emissions, price, running costs, company car tax, practicality, desirability, and the driving experience to select the CCT100 Award winners.

Following its precursor, the All-New Sorento ranks high in all areas therefore it's crowned ‘‘Large SUV of the Year’ for 2021. The fourth-generation Sorento deserves to be the industry-leading large SUV through receiving the five-star safety rating from Euro NCA as well as being a new hybrid powertrain and space-for-seven.

The smallest vehicle of the Kia range – Kia Picanto is a stark contrast to the All-New Sorento. The Picanto has often been placed at the top in various award ceremonies since its launch back in 2004 and has sold over 150,000 units in the UK. Depending on specification, the Picanto is offered with technologies such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) and Kia’s new Automated Manual Transmission.

“Kia’s pair of Company Car Today CCT100 Awards show the strength of the brand, coming at opposite ends of the spectrum with the Picanto showing its quality in the City Car category, and the All-New Sorento proving that large SUVs can make sense for company car operators thanks to its hybrid technology,” said Paul Barker, Editor of Company Car Today. “Both cars exhibited great running costs, combined with practicality, good looks, and efficiency.”

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: “To see Kia top two categories at opposite ends of the automotive spectrum fills me with pride, and is an absolutely fantastic way to start the New Year. Undoubtedly both the Large SUV and City Car categories were highly competitive, which makes the double win even more impressive.

“Since the fourth-generation, Sorento was launched back in September 2020, has received a very positive reaction and has helped set in motion Kia’s future trajectory, whilst also securing a position at the very front of the Large SUV market. The Picanto aswell has consistently been a popular choice with customers thanks to its refined interior and driving feel in such a small package, and has truly earned its place as a renowned City Car.”

Both the Sportage and e-Niro feature in the CCT100 list as well, proving further Kia's quality line-up of vehicles for all types of customers.
