London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) boundary has expanded, meaning the local area surrounding Brentford now adopts low emission zones. In particular, ULEZ mostly affects motorists of petrol vehicles registered before 2006 and diesel vehicles registered before 2015. If you regularly drive in London and your vehicle doesn’t meet the requirements, now is the time to switch to a ULEZ compliant car to avoid the £12.50 daily charge or £160 fine.
To help clean up London's air, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year, except Christmas Day (25 December). The zone now covers all areas within the North and South Circular Roads. The North Circular (A406) and South Circular (A205) roads are not in the zone.
This includes:
- Cars, motorcycles, vans and specialist vehicles (up to and including 3.5 tonnes) and minibuses (up to and including 5 tonnes)
- Residents of the Congestion Charge area (the 100% discount of the daily ULEZ charge has ended)
