Honda has unveiled the 2026 CB1000F, a striking new addition to its street motorycle line-up that pays tribute to the legendary CB heritage while delivering thoroughly modern performance. Taking inspiration from icons like the CB750F and CB900F of the early 1980s, this new CB blends nostalgic design with cutting-edge engineering and the latest in rider technology — available to order now at Chiswick Honda Motorcycles.
At the core of the CB1000F lies a 1000cc DOHC inline four-cylinder engine, derived from the CBR1000RR Fireblade and re-engineered for street use. Honda’s development team focused on creating a more distinctive, characterful delivery, with revised inlet design, cam timing, and exhaust tuning. The result is a power unit that produces 91kW at 9,000rpm and 103Nm of torque at 8,000rpm, offering immediate punch and accessible performance throughout the rev range.
The gearbox has also been optimised — lower first and second gears sharpen acceleration, while taller upper ratios make for relaxed highway cruising. Riders will appreciate the smooth-shifting assist/slipper clutch, which reduces lever effort and prevents rear-wheel hop during hard downshifts. Together, these updates deliver a refined yet exciting experience that’s as at home in the city as it is on winding country roads.
Fuel efficiency stands at 5.6L/100km, and with a 16-litre tank, the CB1000F offers a potential range of over 280km (around 175 miles).
Honda has equipped the CB1000F with a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that lies at the heart of the bike’s electronics package. The IMU manages Throttle By Wire (TBW) and coordinates the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), cornering ABS, and wheelie control, ensuring smooth, predictable performance in all situations.
Riders can choose between three default riding modes — Standard, Sport, and Rain — each offering preset combinations of Power, Engine Brake, and HSTC levels. Two USER modes allow customisation of each setting to suit individual preference, all accessible through intuitive handlebar switchgear and the new five-inch full-colour TFT display.
Handling is another highlight. The CB1000F shares its core chassis structure with the acclaimed CB1000 Hornet, using a steel diamond frame and a new, longer subframe to enhance comfort for both rider and passenger. Suspension comes courtesy of 41mm Showa Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) front forks and a Showa Pro-Link rear shock — both fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound damping.
This suspension setup ensures excellent ride compliance around town and confidence-inspiring stability at speed. The asymmetrical cast aluminium swingarm, derived from the Fireblade, centralises mass and improves lean angles, while Nissin four-piston radial calipers paired with 310mm floating discs provide powerful, controlled braking. The Cornering ABS system adds an extra layer of reassurance when conditions are less than perfect.
Visually, the CB1000F channels Honda’s 1980s superbike legacy. Its flowing silhouette connects the muscular fuel tank, sculpted side covers, and compact tail unit, creating a timeless, cohesive profile. A single round LED headlight, flanked by twin horns, gives a nod to classic CBs, while chromed downpipes and a ‘megaphone’-style exhaust evoke the unmistakable look — and sound — of Honda’s golden era.
Available in three striking colour options — Wolf Silver Metallic with Blue Stripe, Wolf Silver Metallic with Grey Stripe, and Graphite Black — the CB1000F stands out as a beautifully executed fusion of old and new.
Practicality and technology come together through the Honda Smart Key system, which allows keyless ignition operation. The new five-inch TFT display features optical bonding for exceptional clarity, even in bright light, and integrates with the Honda RoadSync app for smartphone connectivity. Riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and music directly through the display using simple left-handlebar controls.
Additional touches include an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) that flashes the hazard lights under heavy braking to warn following vehicles, and the option to fit a centre stand for easy chain maintenance.
In line with Honda’s “Triple Action to Zero” environmental strategy, the CB1000F incorporates pre-consumer recycled polypropylene materials in its seat base and rear mudguard. This approach supports Honda’s long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality and expanding the use of recyclable materials across its product range.
Honda's name for reliability and build quality has been further reinforced by new motorcycles now coming with an industry leading 6-year warranty, of which will come with any new Honda CB1000F.
The 2026 CB1000F represents the perfect blend of style, substance, and soul — a machine that captures the freedom and energy of Honda’s past while delivering the precision and performance of today’s technology.
