The Honda Jazz - Reasons To Take A Test Drive

The new Honda Jazz is available at 0% APR Representative until the end of the year. So we thought we'd give you an insight as to why you should consider it, or at the least take it for a test drive.

1. Famed for practicality

The Jazz is famed for its practicality, reliability, efficiency and ease of driving.

2. Fantastic grade selection

There are 7-trim levels available on the Jazz. From the lower spec 'S'-grade model to the higher spec 'Sport' grade was introduced this year and comes with a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces 130PS.

3. Class-leading interior

Even adults taller than six feet will have no problem making themselves comfortable in the front of the Jazz. There’s a huge amount of head room, and shoulder room is generous. Certainly, anyone with long legs will be able to stretch out easily.

After a 2018 facelift, the Jazz now has a pair of four-cylinder petrol engines to pick from and even more equipment in each of the three trim levels. And if that’s not enough, there’s even a new Sport variant that gets a bodykit, sports seats and a 0-62mph time of less than nine seconds.

4. Boot space

The Jazz’s boot is nearly as big as that in some small family cars. There’s a generous amount of room for a large pushchair or two large suitcases and other items. Folding the rear seats flat creates an even larger and equally uncluttered load area. Below the boot floor are more storage spaces for smaller items you may wish to keep out of sight.

5. Full of equipment

Entry-level S versions go without alloy wheels but do get a DAB radio, Bluetooth, automatic lights and wipers, electric mirrors, air-con and cruise control. However, we recommend upgrading to SE trim. For not a great deal more money, it brings 15in alloy wheels, the Connect infotainment system, parking sensors front and rear, as well as an alarm.

Sat-nav is optional on all but S models, while EX cars feature luxuries such as climate control and keyless entry and start. We’d save the money and stick with SE.

Based on SE, Sport trim, which comes with the 1.5-litre engine, gains black 16in wheels, LED headlights and sportier touches.

6. Safety

The Jazz comes with a very impressive list of safety equipment as standard, including automatic emergency braking. SE and EX models have more advanced features, such as forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed limiter and lane departure warning. Thanks to these, the Jazz was awarded the full five stars by Euro NCAP in its crash tests.
