​The body is designed for long journeys. Headlights and adjustable windscreen are positioned further towards the middle of the machine to help centralise mass and offer greater wind protection.

    Twin-Spar Frame The 1200X’s diamond aluminium twin-spar frame enables precise control over the weight, and rigidity balances of each part of the bike.

    Power is provided by the 1,237cc V4 engine, which has been optimised for strong torque from low and medium rpm. It’s also equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

      Slim & Compact V4 Engine With Euro 4 An ingeniously designed engine reduces frontal area and helps mass centralisation.
      Honda Unicam Technology Honda’s Unicam technology contributes to the 1,237cc, 16-valve engine. This SOHC configuration helps to reduce the weight and size of the cylinder heads, and optimises combustion chamber shape.
      Programmed Fuel Injection The PGM-FI fuel injection system employs 44mm throttle bones and fly-by-live technology for concise throttle control.

      ​The optional Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) offers a choice of two automatic modes as well as manual shifting. The ‘S’ mode features three levels for sportier riding.

        43mm Inverted Fork The VFR’s inverted fork is testimony of the model’s design to excel on varying road surfaces. It offers optimised steering and stability with front and rear suspension, providing additional control and absorption. Shock generated by bumpy surfaces is also absorbed by the radial spoked wheels.
        Honda Evolutional Catalysing System Its Oxygen-Sensing system maintains an optimal air/fuel mixture for the most effective catalytic reduction of exhaust emissions.
        Pro-Link Rear Suspension Monoshock rear suspension utilises a triangular linkage system to progressively increase damping force through a range of rear swingarm movement.

        You can find a 12v socket under the seat and self-cancelling indicators. The narrow profile seat makes it easier to plant feet on the ground and, if necessary, a low seat accessory takes an extra 20mm off the seat height.

          Combined ABS Working between the dual front 310mm discs/3 piston callipers and rear 276mm discs/twin-position callipers, combined ABS delivers more stable deceleration.
          Honda Ignition System Only allows the bike to be started by its original encoded keys to effectively protect against theft.
          Honda Selectable Torque Control If the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system senses an imminent loss of rear wheel traction, it reduces torque to allow the tyre to grip.
