A Milestone in Škoda’s 130-Year Legacy

Škoda celebrates 130 years of innovation and performance with the launch of the Fabia 130, the fastest and most powerful production Fabia ever made. Building upon the Monte Carlo variant, this special edition combines the brand’s rallying heritage with enhanced performance, design, and technology.

Engine and Powertrain Enhancements

At the heart of the Fabia 130 is a reworked 1.5-litre TSI EVO2 petrol engine producing 177 PS (130 kW), an increase of 27 PS over the standard model. Engineers have optimised key components such as the intake plenum, vibration damper, and rocker arms to withstand the higher power output.

This refined engine delivers peak power between 5,750 and 6,000 rpm, alongside 250 Nm of torque available from as low as 1,500 rpm. The improvements result in stronger, more flexible performance across the rev range and greater responsiveness during acceleration.

Performance and Transmission

The Fabia 130 features a recalibrated seven-speed DSG gearbox, which now offers higher shift points, faster double-clutch downshifts in Sport mode, and improved braking logic for immediate re-acceleration.

These upgrades translate to outstanding performance figures: 0 - 62 mph in just 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 142 mph, making it the quickest Fabia ever built. Mid-range acceleration also improves, with 37 - 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and 50 - 70 mph in 4.8 seconds, highlighting the car’s enhanced drivability.

To complement its power, the Fabia 130 adopts sports suspension lowered by 15 mm and recalibrated steering for sharper feedback. Drivers can choose between Normal and Sport driving modes, adjusting throttle response, and steering weight to suit their preference.

A two-stage Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) system and ESC Sport mode allow controlled wheel slip and later intervention from stability control, ensuring a more engaging yet safe driving experience, a clear nod to Škoda’s rallying expertise.

The Design

Visually, the Fabia 130 exudes performance. It is offered in four colours: Moon White, Velvet Red, Race Blue, and Black Magic, all paired with a gloss black roof, pillars, and mirrors.

Distinctive styling elements include a deeper front bumper, rear diffuser, larger spoiler, smoked headlamp housings, and twin exhaust tips. Unique 130 badging appears on the wings and boot lid, while 18-inch Libra alloy wheels and a black rear stripe evoke the look of the Fabia Rally2.

Inside, the Fabia 130 merges sportiness with comfort. Sports seats with firm side bolsters, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with DSG paddles, and stainless-steel pedals create a performance-focused cabin.

Decorative aluminium-effect trim runs across the dashboard and doors, while bespoke Fabia 130 door sills add exclusivity. Standard technology includes a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit and a 9.2-inch infotainment display offering seamless connectivity.

Pricing and Equipment

Positioned as the range-topping model, the Fabia 130 is priced from £29,995 OTR in the UK, with order books opening on 30 October 2025. Standard equipment includes metallic paint, Bi-LED headlights, keyless entry/start, rear camera, voice control, privacy glass, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

A Tribute to Motorsport Heritage

The Fabia 130 celebrates Škoda’s rich motorsport legacy. Since its debut in 1999, the Fabia has sold over five million units and spawned numerous performance and rally variants, including the vRS, R5, and Rally2, cars that have dominated global rally championships.

By combining everyday usability with authentic motorsport DNA, the new Fabia 130 pays homage to 130 years of Škoda innovation and performance, proudly continuing the brand’s tradition of accessible, driver-focused engineering.
